About Us

Twin Mountains Snowmobile Club is located in the heart of the Kawarthas. We are a member club of District 2 of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC). The club was founded in 1974 and we joined the OFSC in 1975.

We maintain approximately 160 kilometres of groomed trails in Peterborough County, just east of Bobcaygeon, Ontario. Our trails connect to the Kawartha Snowmobile Club trails to the west, and to the Buckhorn Snowmobile Club trails to the east. TMSC has approximately 745 members from all over Ontario.  Our main point of operation is at 889 Bass Lake Road,  just east of Bobcaygeon, and north of Pigeon Lake.

Our clubhouse is located at 889 (formerly 2600) Bass Lake Road, next to the groomer shed. This site allows for access by all sledders, and serves as an office, and a place for meetings and club events. It also provides a place to display trophies and awards that  the club has received over the past years of operation. Driving directions are as follows: head east on Highway 36 from Bobcaygeon, then head north on Bass Lake Road for approximately 7.5 kilometres.  Our club is on the west side of Bass Lake Road.  There is ample parking available for trucks and trailers.

We operate one Tucker Sno-Cat and one BR-180 with Mogul Master drags in order to provide the smoothest trails possible.  We have great groomer operators who work tirelessly to ensure that our trail conditions are perfect.

Snowmobile Trail Permits are mandatory on all snowmobile trails in Ontario, and they must be prominently displayed on all snowmobiles operating on our trails. Members and Volunteers conduct regular Trail Patrol, as do OPP S.T.O.P. Officers.  Failure to display a valid trail permit could result substantial fines.

Staging

Staging areas along Bass Lake Road include the clubhouse/groomer shed, the area by the bridge just to the north of the clubhouse, and the area immediately off of highway 36 at the boat launch. Gates at the clubhouse will be unlocked during the snowmobile season, and the clubhouse itself will be unlocked and warm.  There are tables inside, along with a microwave oven, to heat up food and drinks if necessary.

TMSC Clothing

We have a variety of TMSC logo hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts, and golf shirts for sale.  These items are available for sale through any Board member, and are on display and available for purchase at the annual Sledarama Shows held in Peterborough at the Morrow building, and at our TMSC Annual General Meetings.
